This smoothie is packed with healthy fats that will help balance the common blood sugar spike experienced when eating fruit and other natural sugars. I don’t ever recommend using a smoothie as a total meal replacement, but if push comes to shove be sure to add a heaping scoop of organic whey protein and collagen to further supplement this already nutritiously dense smoothie. Please be sure to avoid powders with unnecessary additives. Bon appétit!
Makes 2 large servings
2 frozen bananas, chopped
1 1/2 cups organic frozen blueberries
2 organic frozen kiwis, chopped
1 very large handful baby spinach
1 organic avocado
1 lime, zested & juiced
2 cups coconut milk
2 Tbsp hemp seeds
- Combine all of the ingredients together in a Vitamix or blender and blend till smooth. Depending on desired consistency, add the remaining half cup of coconut milk if you like your smoothy less thick. Top with additional hemp seeds if desired and enjoy immediately.
