What is BrocElite® Kids?
BrocElite® Kids is the kids version of BrocElite® Plus. It delivers stabilized sulforaphane, the active compound from broccoli, in a small capsule at a lower dose. How is BrocElite® Kids different from BrocElite® Plus?
Two ways. Each BrocElite® Kids capsule has 2.5 mg stabilized sulforaphane, half the 5 mg in a BrocElite® Plus capsule. And BrocElite® Kids has no added PEITC, the watercress compound that is the "Plus" in BrocElite® Plus. Both changes make it gentler.
What does BrocElite® Kids support?
Sulforaphane works through Nrf2, the body's own switch for its antioxidant and detox enzymes. BrocElite® Kids supports natural detox pathways, a healthy inflammatory response, the body's own antioxidant defenses and healthy brain function.
What makes it different from other broccoli supplements?
Nearly all other broccoli supplements contain glucoraphanin (often labeled "sulforaphane glucosinolate"), the precursor the body has to convert. What are the ingredients?
Per 2-capsule serving: 5 mg Stabilized Sulforaphane and 600 mg Broccoli Seed complex (including Iberin, BITC and AITC). The capsule is cellulose and water, so it is vegan and gluten free. No fillers, binders, preservatives or lubricants.
Who can take BrocElite® Kids?
BrocElite® Kids is made for children. Talk with your child's pediatrician before starting any supplement.
What if my child doesn't like to swallow capsules?
If your child does not like swallowing capsules, open them and mix the powder into food or a drink, and finish it within 24 hours.
How many capsules a day?
Give 2 capsules a day with food, either together or one in the morning and one in the evening (5 mg stabilized sulforaphane a day), or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. One 60-capsule bottle is a 30-day supply.
Does it have to be taken with food?
Yes. The label says to take it with food.
Are there side effects?
For younger children, taking too much sulforaphane at once could cause mild stomach upset. BrocElite® Kids is the less potent, gentler option: less sulforaphane per capsule and no added PEITC. If your child takes any medication, talk with your pediatrician before starting.
Does it need to be refrigerated?
Yes. Refrigerate after opening.
Does it expire?
Once opened, keep the bottle in the refrigerator with the moisture packet inside and use it within 60 days. Unopened bottles are best used within 1 year of production.
