Why We Skipped Black Friday

Black Friday is the biggest sales day of the year.  It is named Black Friday because it is the day that most retail stores go from being "in the red" and losing money to being "in the black" and profitable.  And this year, we skipped Black Friday.

Why, you may ask?  Well, the reason is that, as many of you know, we were back ordered for most of November, having had a tsunami of sales in October. The increased demand led us to expand our production, but it taxed our team and depleted our inventory.

As I've said before, Mara Labs is a small, privately owned, handcrafted supplement company.  That means that we are like a microbrewery, but with supplements. We manage every step of the process ourselves to ensure the best quality possible.  But, while we are growing, we are still small by most standards.

So, while our production has increased, our inventory is still low.  And, we wanted to keep the inventory we had to fulfill our subscription orders that came in over this weekend, as subscription orders are prioritized over non-subscription orders in fulfillment.

In other words, we didn't want to get in a backorder situation again, just afer having worked so hard to "catch up."  I'm excited for this week to be our first full week back, where we have plenty of inventory, and we ship your orders out quickly!

Thanks again for your all patience and encouragement!
